Hong Kong stocks rise 0.55% at open

HONG KONG (AFP) - Hong Kong stocks gained 0.55 per cent in opening exchanges on Wednesday, in line with a broad regional advance, as investors await the release of preliminary Chinese manufacturing data.

The benchmark Hang Seng Index added 124.58 points to 22,855.26 in the first few minutes of trade.
