Signs that capital leaving China as economy cools

BEIJING (Reuters) - China is closely monitoring its cross border capital flows, Beijing's currency regulator said on Thursday (Jan 22), amid signs that money was leaving the world's second-largest economy as it cools.

Data on Monday showed China's central bank and commercial banks bought the most yuan in seven years in December, in an indication of capital outflows from the country.
