Japan consumer inflation rises 3.3% on-year in July: govt

TOKYO (AFP) - Japanese consumer inflation rose 3.3 percent year-on-year in July after a sales tax hike, government data showed on Friday.

The rise in core consumer inflation, stripping out volatile fresh food prices, matched market expectations and was also unchanged from June.
