The Ascott secures contracts to manage four properties in China

SINGAPORE - Serviced apartment operator The Ascott has secured contracts to manage four properties with over 900 apartment units in China.

Ascott, which is wholly owned by CapitaLand, will launch its first serviced residence in Taiyuan, the 170-unit Ascott Taiyuan, in 2018.

The 195-unit Ascott Riverside Garden Beijing and 342-unit Somerset Sunland Shanghai will be operational in 2016.

The company has also rebranded an already-operational Dalian property as the 195-unit Somerset Grand Central Dalian.

The Ascott now owns more than 11,600 apartment units in 64 properties across 21 cities in China. It has 35,000 apartment units globally.
