SINGAPORE - Increasing patient numbers and new corporate contracts helped lift Raffles Medical Group's net profit for the second quarter to $15.7 million, an 8.1 per cent rise from the same period a year ago.

Revenue grew 6.6 per cent from last year to $92.6 million for the three months ended June 30, the Singapore-listed group said on Tuesday.

Earnings per share rose to 2.81 cents for the second quarter, from 2.63 cents the same time last year.

Net asset value per share also increased to 89.67 cents as at June 30, from 85.31 cents as at Dec 31 last year.

The group is declaring an interim dividend of 1.5 cents per share for the current financial year, up 0.5 cent from the previous year.

The dividend will be paid on August 29.
