SINGAPORE - Homegrown pre-school operator MindChamps has tied up with private specialist healthcare provider Singapore Medical Group (SMG) to educate families on health and medical matters.

The aim is improve the management of illnesses. by offering better education and information to families.

The joint venture will see MindChamps Medical with SMG offering conducive, family and child-friendly GP clinics and educational and information resources both on-site and on-line.

Other aspects that will be covered include proactive and personalised advice on lifestyle, nutrition as well as childhood and developmental issues.

There will also be educational information and workshops on the latest medical discoveries and treatments together with reliable information on medical conditions.

There will be easy access to SMG paediatric medical specialities including paediatric (kids) dentistry, wellness and dermatology, the two companies said in a statement on Tuesday.

"I have always believed that doctors, like teachers, should play a critical role in educating society. There is a Chinese saying that a medical practitioner should have the heart of a parent," said Mr David Chiem, founder and chairman and group CEO of MindChamps Holdings.

Dr Beng Teck Liang, the CEO of SMG said: " We are excited to partner with MindChamps for this joint venture.
