Macquarie International Infrastructure Fund posts $1.4m loss

SINGAPORE - Macquarie International Infrastructure Fund has posted a net loss of $1.4 million for the six months to June 30 after selling off two of its three core businesses.

It divested Taiwan Broadband Communications and Changshu Xinghua Port last year, and its remaining business - Hua Nan Expressway - pays an annual distribution only at the end of the third quarter, the fund said on Wednesday.

It had no income from investments for the half-year ended June 30 and will not be paying a interim dividend.

The fund's net asset value as at June 30 was $141.5 million, slightly down from $142.1 million as at March 31.
