Education group MDIS buys Service Quality Centre

SINGAPORE - The Management Development Institute of Singapore (MDIS) has acquired Service Quality Centre (SQC) under its subsidiary MDIS Corporation in an attempt to improve its offerings.

The SQC was established in 1990 in an attempt to improve service standards in Singapore, and has since provided training solutions for service excellence, productivity and quality.

Its clientele also includes private entities like supermarket chains and financial institutions, as well as government ministries and agencies. "We are privileged to inherit a brand with strong track records and client base", said MDIS secretary-general R. Theyvendran.

This new collaboration aims to help businesses meet the ever-changing standards and demands of consumers.

MDIS has invested $1.2 million in renovations of its Dhoby Ghaut campus, which will house both the MDIS corporate training arm as well as the SQC.

The enhanced facilities will extend beyond the reception area and training rooms, but also include three concept rooms that are hoped to facilitate SQC courses.
