SINGAPORE - Ascendas Real Estate Investment Trust (A-Reit) will become one of the 30 constituent stocks of the benchmark Straits Times Index from Wednesday, June 4.

It will be removed from the FTSE ST Mid Cap Index on the same day.

The index tracks the performance of the top 30 companies listed on the Singapore Exchange by market capitalisation.

It is jointly calculated by Singapore Press Holdings, the SGX and the FTSE Group.

A-Reit is Singapore's oldest listed business space and industrial Reit. It has a portfolio of 102 properties in Singapore, comprising usiness and science park properties, hi-specs industrial properties, light industrial properties and logistics and distribution centres.

It also has two business park properties in China.

As at March 31, its assets had a combined value of about $7.4 billion.
