NTUC Income launches online service that lets public chat with financial planners

SINGAPORE - Insurer NTUC Income launched online service Adviser Connect on Thursday, which allows the public to interact with any financial planner on the platform.

The service is available through NTUC Income's revamped website. It can be found here.

Anyone can select a financial planner based on aspects such as age group and interests, and start an online chat anonymously without having to leave contact details.

Once they are comfortable with the financial planner, they can choose to exchange contact details for a follow-up session.

Mr Marcus Chew, senior vice-president of strategic marketing and communications, said: "Some people shun insurance agents because they are wary of the perceived 'hard sell' tatics employed by them. Others dislike meeting strangers, while youngsters prefer communicating via text or email.

"Adviser Connect targets to address these issues so that everyone can find a financial planner they can connect with for financial advice. They can do so in a safe environment where they can choose not to reveal their identity."
