Parents of missing 3-year-old Malaysian boy arrested

KOTA KINABALU (THE STAR/ASIA NEWS NETWORK) - The case of missing three-year-old Low Min You has taken a twist with the arrest of his parents.

Low Yee Sheng, 31, and his wife Yong Siew Yee, 26, were detained when they turned up at the Kota Kinabalu district police station in Karamunsing on Wednesday evening.

Low, a closed-circuit television camera installer, and Yong had earlier been asked to go to the police station.

They were produced on Thursday morning before Senior Assistant Registrar Danny Buaya at a magistrate's court here, where the investigating officer Insp Shreethran Balan applied to remand the couple for seven days.
