KUALA LUMPUR - Malaysian police are looking into the possibility of sabotage on the Bangalore-bound Malaysia Airlines flight MH192 from Kuala Lumpur International Airport early Monday morning.
"We will take the necessary steps to investigate," said inspector-general of police (IGP) Khalid Abu Bakar at a press conference on Monday, Malaysiakini reported.
Flight MH192 had to turn back following damage to its landing gear and landed safely at KLIA about three hours after takeoff.
Acting Transport Minister Hishammuddin Hussein has asked the police to investigate whether there are elements of sabotage, Malaysiakini said.
Mr Hishammuddin also said he wanted a report by Wednesday on the incident, adding that "these sort of incidents should not happen".
