JAKARTA (AFP) - Indonesian stocks jumped more than 2.5 per cent at the open on Thursday after unofficial tallies showed Jakarta governor Joko Widodo leading rival Prabowo Subianto in a tight race for the presidency.

The Jakarta benchmark index rose 2.54 per cent, or 127.84 points to 5,152.55.

Both candidates have declared victory but most tallies by reliable polling agencies put Widodo in the lead.
