PETALING JAYA (THE STAR/ASIA NEWS NETWORK) - The director of a movie based on the Malaysian Airlines flight MH370 disappearance is apologising for the trailer that suggests a love-triangle plot between members of the crew.

Mr Rupesh Paul announced his upcoming movie The Vanishing Act based on the missing Malaysian Airlines plane at the Cannes Film Festival, along with a brief trailer for the film.

The trailer shows two crew members kissing as a third crew member looks on angrily. The trailer also shows someone with a gun and scenes featuring commotion and panic on the plane.

In a statement to Associated Press (AP), the director said he was removing that element of the teaser trailer soon "so as not to hurt sentiments" of the families of those on the plane.
