PUTRAJAYA (THE STAR/ASIA NEWS NETWORK) - Malaysia's Election Commission has announced that the P51 Bukit Gelugor by-election will take place on May 25, following the death of its member of parliament Karpal Singh last Thursday.

Nomination day is on May 12.

The advance voting process will be carried out on May 21, EC chairman Tan Sri Abdul Aziz Mohd Yusof confirmed in a press conference here on Thursday.
