15 Malaysians linked to ISIS allegedly killed in Syria, says ministry

Malaysia's Ministry of Foreign Affairs said on Tuesday that it had learnt that 15 Malaysians, allegedly involved in terrorist activities, have been killed in Syria.
"Malaysia learned from the Permanent Representative of Syria to the United Nations in New York in a press conference on 18 June 2014 had alleged that 15 Malaysian nationals involved in terrorism and jihadist activities with the militant Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant had been killed in Syria," the ministry said in a statement.
Malaysia said it is trying to verify this information.
The statement also said that apart from Malaysians, citizens from other countries, including several Asean countries, were allegedly involved in such activities in Syria.
