Imran Khan, 62, the playboy cricketer turned opposition leader in Pakistan, is no longer the country's most eligible bachelor. Mr Imran, who is the father of two boys from his previous marriage to British socialite Jemima Khan, tied the knot with Reham Khan, the 41-year-old host of a political talk show, in a simple ceremony at his Islamabad home on Thursday.
Here are six things about the new bride:
1. Attacked and villified on social media ever since news of her marriage to Imran Khan became public, Ms Khan recently deleted her Facebook account. As of Jan 9, she had 101,000 followers on Twitter.
2. Mr Khan's sister Aleema has reportedly refused to meet his new wife, after saying in an interview that he denied his marriage when the family asked him about it.
3. Ms Khan works with Dawn News, a Pakistan-based private news channel. She is a current affairs anchor with the channel and hosts the show In Focus. It was to this channel that she released her first public statement on the marriage. In it, she said she was attracted to Mr Khan because he was a good parent, and that to her, "success is a good parent".
4. She is believed to have previously been married to psychiatrist Ijaz Rehman. They have three children together - Sahir, 21, Ridha, 18, and Inaya Rehman, 12.
5. In 2012, Ms Khan decided to resign from her position as a senior broadcast journalist at Britain-based news agency BBC, and moved to Pakistan to cover the historical 2013 Pakistani General Elections.
6. Born in Libya to Pakistani parents, Ms Khan was educated mostly in Britain. She has a bachelor's degree in education and pursued a master's in sociology, but before she could complete it, she received an offer and continued her postgraduate education in broadcast journalism at North Lindsay College.
She did a four-week placement with the BBC as part of the course, and was later given a permanent position.
