NEW DELHI (AFP) - Indian maestro Amjad Ali Khan said Tuesday that British Airways had found and returned his beloved sarod instrument which had gone missing on a London-Delhi flight at the weekend.
After widespread publicity about the loss in the media, the airline tracked down the string instrument on Tuesday, returning it to a grateful Khan who has strummed it for the last 45 years.
"Epic reunion!!! BA delivers my Sarod. Thank you all for your prayers and love, especially the media for their kind support. My soul is back," Mr Khan, 68, tweeted.
The airline has blamed "intermittent problems" with its baggage system at Heathrow Airport's Terminal 5, which has resulted in a large number of lost luggage problems for customers.
