A seal and a dog appear to have become fast friends shortly after crossing paths on a beach.

In the video, the seal appeared to be moving away from some beach-goers till it saw its soon-to-be canine pal lying on the sand.

To the beach-goers' surprise, the seal promptly embraced the dog, which seemed unfazed by all the cuddling.

Now that's one way to seal a lasting friendship.
