When life imitates art

Russian artist Maria Gazanova (left) working on her The Alive Painting artwork during the Art Krasnoyarsk annual festival in the Siberian city of Krasnoyarsk in Russia on Wednesday.

To create this unique "painting", the artist dabs paint over real objects and even human beings, imitating a painting.

Another novelty at the festival is a fascinating fluorescent body art show.

The five-day event, which runs till Sunday, attracts artists from all over Russia. It also features dolls, cosplayers, anime and manga learn-to- draw sessions.
