The scary scenic route

Afqa is located in the mountains of Lebanon and is the site of one of the most scenic waterfalls in the mountains of the Middle East.

With an average elevation of 1,200m above sea level and spectacular limestone bluffs and ridges, the area is known for its dramatic scenery. The area is also famed for its romantic legends .

In Greek mythology Adonis was born and died at the foot of the falls in Afqa.
