Showers of blessings

Indian Hindu devotees collecting rice as offerings distributed by the temple authority during the Annakut festival at the Radha Madhav Temple in Kolkata, India, last week.

Large numbers of people gathered at the temple and collected the rice offerings in the belief that the rice will keep them in good condition and that they will never face poverty or scarcity of food.

People celebrate the festival by making food of cereals, rice and leafy vegetables to offer to the Hindu Lord Krishna.
