No brolly? No problem

The grey and wet weather yesterday did little to dim this corner of Sims Avenue.

A riot of colours unfurled amid the sparkling droplets of water, as pedestrians opened their umbrellas under the heavy downpour.

But some were not so lucky, and had to make do with what they had on hand.

Short-duration, thundery showers are expected for some afternoons this week, a Meteorological Service Singapore statement said earlier this month. However, the overall rainfall for the first half of this month is forecast to be slightly lower than normal, it said.
