Singapore's Olympic champion Joseph Schooling received treatment from chiropractor Dr Inge Austin at the Chinese Swimming Club (CSC) therapy room yesterday at the official opening of the club's new sports gymnasium.

The swimmer, 21, was the guest of honour at the event.

The chiropractic treatment is one of the services offered at CSC's therapy room, where athletes can also receive massage and physiotherapy treatments.

Yesterday's visit to CSC concluded Schooling's whirlwind homecoming week in Singapore, as the swim star made several public appearances and charity commitments.

Besides opening the CSC sports gym, he also held a meet-and-greet session for 100 young swimmers from the club, where he signed copies of his book Hello, My Name Is Joseph Schooling.

Schooling, who left Singapore last night, will return next August before the South-east Asia Games in Kuala Lumpur.
