In Pictures: St. Patrick's Day celebrations in Singapore
Decked out in green, members of the Irish community in Singapore celebrated St. Patrick's Day with a parade down Cavenagh Bridge to UOB Plaza yesterday (March 19, 2017), ending their procession with pipe music and a festival at Circular Road which was closed for the festivities.
St. Patrick's Day is celebrated to commemorate Ireland's patron saint, St. Patrick and the arrival of Christianity in Ireland. It also celebrates the heritage and culture of the Irish and is widely observed by the Irish diaspora.
