In Pictures: Red carpet arrivals at Met Gala 2016

Celebrities swept down the red carpet at the Met Gala, one of New York's most anticipated and major fashion events of the year, on Monday (May 2) evening. The annual fund-raising gala, helmed by chairman Anna Wintour, benefits the Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute. The theme this year is Manus x Machina: Fashion In An Age Of Technology.
