In Pictures: Oklahoma tornadoes wreak havoc

Tornadoes churned through the heart of Oklahoma on Monday (May 9), wrecking structures and killing at least two people, the authorities and US media said. The storms began forming in southern parts of the state in the afternoon, with the first confirmed twister hitting near Elmore City, in rural Garvin County. A second confirmed tornado then swept across the south-western town of Ninnekah, just an hour after the first.
