In Pictures: Items found on suspected undocumented immigrant in United States
Personal effects found on the body of a suspected undocumented immigrant are stored at the Office of the Pima County Medical Examiner on Sept 29, 2016, in Tucson, Arizona. Hundreds of migrants die every year, most from dehydration, while crossing the desert illegally from Mexico into the United States. Forensic anthropologists study personal effects and bodily remains in an effort to identify the bodies and reunite them with loved ones.
