A participant getting all fired up at the Third International Fair of the Pyrotechnics Indaparapeo 2016 in Michoacan State, Mexico. The weekend event was a meeting of great masters of pyrotechnics, including experts from France, Italy, Mexico and Sweden, and the venue was ablaze with flames and ideas.

"Bright sparks" and veterans vied to show off their latest tricks at the festival, which included exhibition fireworks, musical fireworks as well as music, crafts and art events.

Pyrotechnic technicians who took part in the event felt the heat, literally, but the event was, for the most part, a blast.
