Classic yachts back to making a splash

They may be considered the "antiques" of sailing, but these J Class yachts are anything but over the hill.

The J Class yachts competed for the America's Cup in the 1930s. They made a return at the weekend, with seven of them competing at the start of a side event to the America's Cup J Class Regatta in Hamilton, Bermuda.

Two of the seven yachts - the Shamrock V and Endeavour - are originals which raced in the America's Cup in 1930 and 1934, respectively, according to the race website.

The main America's Cup match race is between defender Oracle Team USA and challenger Emirates Team New Zealand.

Team New Zealand have a 3-0 lead after two days of the competition, which is scheduled to finish next Tuesday.
