A storm brews

It was dark skies over Sengkang Riverside Park at 9am yesterday as a storm approached.

According to the National Environment Agency website, short-duration thundery showers are expected to occur mostly in the late morning and afternoon today.

Also, the passage of Sumatra squalls moving eastwards from the Malacca Strait could bring widespread thundery showers accompanied by gusty winds here on a few days in the pre-dawn and morning.

South-west monsoon conditions are forecast to persist before transitioning to inter-monsoon conditions around the middle of next month.
