No happy meal for woman and baby kangaroo in US McDonald's

Straits Times Animal Antics

A woman and her kangaroo were turned away from a McDonald's restaurant in Wisconsin, United States, after a customer complained about the baby marsupial she had taken into the burger chain, the Associated Press reported.

Ms Diana Moyer said the eight-month-old joey, named Jimmy, is her therapy animal and she takes it everywhere with her, including to the movies and to church - she even has a doctor's approval to do so.

Jimmy was wrapped in a blanket and carried in an infant car seat, but the sight of the little kangaroo must have made someone hopping mad enough to raise the matter with the restaurant's management.

Ms Moyer and Jimmy were asked to leave before things could escalate. Here's hoping they bounce back from this unhappy incident.
