The Maasai Cricket Warriors played against the British Army Training Unit Kenya (BATUK) cricket team during a charity contest called the Last Male Standing Rhino Cup in the wilds of Laikipia county's Ol-Pejeta Conservancy, at the foot of Mount Kenya - and home to the last three northern white rhino sub-species on the planet. The two-day annual charity event aims to raise awareness of the plight of the northern white rhino and to create funding to continue ongoing research into ways to save the sub-species from extinction.
