A new work of art rises out of the old at the Esplanade.
The Sculpture Society (Singapore) repurposed 250 bamboo ladders used in an earlier installation, Soaring Dragon by Hong Kong artist Carl Cheng Chi Ming, to create a new artwork, Undulations.
The sculpture is inspired by musical rhythms and complements the Esplanade's A Tapestry Of Sacred Music, a festival featuring spiritual music by acts from around the world. The three-day affair from April 25 to 27 will have four ticketed shows and more than 40 free events.
The sculpture Undulations will be on display at the Esplanade Waterfront Canopy until April 27. Admission is free.
