The exhibition is organised by Etiquette SG, which uses art to highlight and discuss gender issues and women's concerns.

MO GU NOTES

Children aged five and above will be thrilled at these miniature puppetry sessions by Taiwanese artist Hsueh Mei-hua. The performance is in Mandarin and includes a 20-minute puppetry session and 20 minutes of sharing.

Hsueh was inspired by the miniature curio cabinets of the Qing dynasty and her show here is part of an annual Chinese Theatre Festival organised by local group The Theatre Practice and sponsored this year by M1.

SCO COMMUNITY CONCERTS

The Singapore Chinese Orchestra goes to the heartland this weekend with open-air concerts near Jurong East MRT station tomorrow and Hougang MRT station on Sunday.

Led by resident conductor Quek Ling Kiong, the concerts will feature Malay and Indian folk songs along with Chinese orchestral pieces. Both events are sponsored by Singapore Press Holdings' Gift Of Music series.

The Sunday concert is part of a larger community event called the Red & White Picnic Under The Stars, with Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong as the guest of honour.
