POSTMODERN DOCUMENTARY PHOTOGRAPHY EXHIBITION
This exhibition trains its lens on documentary photography as 10 lensmen, such as Oh Soon-Hwa and Nate Larson, explore new ways of portraying truth through photography. The works presented, including Oh's French Colonial House (2009), also seek new ways of enriching documentary photography with advances in digital technology.
The exhibition was first held at Purdue University in September as part of the Postmodern Documentary Photography Symposium organised by Assistant Professor Min Kim Park of Purdue University, and in collaboration with Associate Professor Oh, coordinator of the photography and digital imaging programme at the Nanyang Technological University's School of Art, Design and Media.

ART OF GIVING
Whether they are gifts, objects of desire or pieces of art, one thing remains unchanged - the 12 works on display at the Art Of Giving exhibition in Scotts Square are a feast for the senses.
Made by students and alumni of the Lasalle College of the Arts, the objects reflect Singapore's multicultural heritage and range from hand-embroidered ornaments inspired by the design of Peranakan tiles to fashion accessories shaped like local snacks such as kueh tutu and ang ku kueh.
Members of the public can vote for their favourite item by Sunday and stand a chance to win it if the item garners the highest number of votes. The creator of the most popular work will receive $5,000 from the mall's developer, Wheelock Properties, as well as a $10,000 donation to a charity of his choice, made by the developer.
