ANNIE LEIBOVITZ: A PHOTOGRAPHER'S LIFE 1990-2005

Leonardo DiCaprio, Brad Pitt, Scarlett Johansson and Nicole Kidman - these are just a handful of the huge names that celebrity American photographer Annie Leibovitz has captured through the rich gaze of her camera lens.

This exhibition of nearly 200 images showcases not just the glamorous figures she is known for, but also personal scenes from her life, such as the birth of her daughters and reportage from the siege of Sarajevo in the early 1990s.

TO BEAT THE BUTTERFLY'S WINGS BY ARTS FISSION

Local contemporary dance company Arts Fission is putting on an intimate site-specific performance, a multi- disciplinary collaboration between choreographer and Cultural Medallion recipient Angela Liong and composer Joyce Beetuan Koh.

The artists will play with the notion of change, inspired by the Butterfly Effect and Chaos Theory, and create an immersive experience combining sound, light, movement and visuals that move around various parts of the gallery. Each performance is limited to 40 audience members.

HAPPY EVER LAUGHTER (R18)

Dream Academy's evening of 13 stand-up comedy performances, by emerging comedians and established actors on the theatre circuit, promises to get audiences laughing over everything from politics to preachers.

Comedy mainstays such as Kumar, Hossan Leong and Mark Lee will share the stage with 20somethings Fuzz and Zul. Directed by Dim Sum Dolly Selena Tan, who also performs in the show.

BACK TO BACH BY KENNETH HAMILTON

Scottish pianist and scholar Kenneth Hamilton returns to Singapore for this intimate piano recital, one which puts the spotlight firmly on German baroque composer J.S. Bach - by way of Bach's original work, Bach tributes (by Brahms and Liszt) as well as transcriptions (by Rachmaninov and Busoni).

Hamilton has been described as a formidable virtuoso, and this programme, spanning three centuries of music, should be a treat.
