BEST TIMES TO FLY

Global travel search engine Skyscanner has crunched three years of data to uncover the best time for Singaporean travellers to book flights to their 10 mostsearched destinations, including Australia, Hong Kong, South Korea and Taiwan.

Skyscanner found that the fourth week of February is the cheapest time to travel, while the second week of the same month is the most expensive. September is the cheapest month for travel and December is the most expensive.

The company recommends booking tickets five months in advance to score the best deals and up to15 per cent off standard ticket prices.

It uncovered the cheapest month for Singaporeans to travel to their favourite destinations, such as Australia in May, Hong Kong in January and Vietnam in October.
