In a new 24-episode travel video series titled InstaScram, Nessa finds inspiration in photos on social media, hunts down the locations on her motorcycle, and discovers the stories behind them.
In this first episode, Nessa explores amazing urban murals and graffiti found in the back alleys of Singapore.
Little India - home to Mustafa Centre, the most famous 24-hour shopping centre in Singapore - is also the base of fascinating graffiti, both by international and local artists.
Ride and walk with Nessa through the vibrant villas of Kerbau Road, and the alleys of Rowell Road, Veerasamy Road and Belilios Lane. Discover the charming artworks of local artists Kyerule and Psyfool.
Belilios Lane is also featured as part of the ArtWalk in Little India, where tradition and culture is explored through artistic expression and colourful murals.
Nessa goes on to discover more nostalgic murals at Everton Road, where artist Yip Yew Chong interprets his memories of old-school Singapore in various portrayals. It is only befitting that an actual resident of Everton Road would be the one to bring us down memory lane. Look out for his 'Ah Ma' and 'Barber' murals in this episode.
Everton Road is also the spot for an alley full of SG50 murals. Join Nessa as she discovers them!
