NEW ROUTE FOR OMAN AIR
On Jan 2, Oman Air will start non-stop flights between Singapore and Muscat, with connecting flights to Europe and other destinations in the Middle East.
To celebrate the launch, the airline is offering an introductory sale from now until Wednesday, for travel from now until June next year. Return fares (including taxes) start at $748 to Muscat, $828 to London, $948 to Paris and $1,018 to Teheran.
Oman Air will fly from Singapore to Muscat on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays and return on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. For more information, go to www.omanair.com.
NEW EXPERIENCES AT BALI RESORTS
Alila Ubud resort has a new spa package - the Rainforest Retreat Spa Experience - which takes place in the luxury resort's bale bengong (a traditional pavilion) overlooking the verdant Ayung Valley.
The package includes a footbath, 90-minute therapeutic massage and choice of a three-course Detox or Pan-Asian set lunch made with local and organic ingredients, followed by a 60-minute reflexology massage and afternoon tea with a selection of sweet treats.

PHUKET RESORT'S NEW PACKAGE
The Slate Phuket (formerly the Indigo Pearl), a resort on Nai Yang Beach, has created a three-day, two-night Gourmet Weekend package for the festive season, starting at $800 a person.
Available from now until June next year, it includes a two-night stay; meals at a selection of the resort's eight restaurants, including dinner at Black Ginger Thai restaurant, which floats on the resort's lagoon; and Sunday brunch.
There is also a market tour with one of the chefs, who will help guests select the best produce and spices for the day's menu, then demonstrate how to cook Thai dishes at Moo's Kitchen, the hotel's cooking studio.

NEW HOTEL OPENS IN CHONGQING
The Regent Chongqing hotel will open on Friday, making it the first urban resort in the Chinese city.
Located at the confluence of the Yangtze and Jialing rivers, in the financial district of Jiangbeizui, the hotel is a 30-minute drive from the Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport.
Most of the spacious 202 rooms offer river views, which can also be enjoyed from the outdoor rooftop bar. The hotel has two bars, three restaurants, a fully equipped gym, a spa with a sauna and an indoor heated swimming pool.
