AIRBNB LAUNCHES INSIDER TOURS
Home-sharing platform Airbnb has launched Trips, a new feature which allows travellers to join curated tours led by local experts in the cities and neighbourhoods they know best.
There are 500 experiences available in 12 cities around the world, including Los Angeles, San Francisco, Miami, Havana, London, Paris, Florence, Cape Town and Tokyo.
Tours on offer include a three-day natural immersion tour with Ranger Ted in Los Angeles, a three-day cheese crawl through Paris with Pauline and an anti-apartheid tour of Cape Town with Nelson Mandela's former chef and prison warden Jack.
Trips also has 100 Insider Guidebooks for six cities that are curated by local cultural experts and neighbourhood insiders, and more than a million recommendations of hidden gems and favourite hangouts from Airbnb hosts worldwide.

JETSTAR ASIA ADDS MORE FLIGHTS
Budget airline Jetstar Asia will be adding 23 flights between Singapore and Kuala Lumpur, Penang, as well as Shantou and Haikou in China during the Chinese New Year period from Jan 25 to Feb 5. Chinese New Year falls on Jan 28.
Of the 23 extra flights, eight will fly to Kuala Lumpur, seven to Penang, three to Shantou and five to Haikou.

THAI FESTIVAL PACKAGE
Gig Life Asia, a website which provides insider guides and the latest information about the best festivals, events and gigs in Asia, has introduced a new all-in package for travellers heading to the Wonderfruit Festival 2017 (wonderfruitfestival.com) in Pattaya, Thailand, in February.
The website is the festival's main travel partner.
Organisers of the socially and environmentally conscious arts and music festival, which was originally scheduled for next month, postponed the event in honour of the 100-day grieving period forThailand's King Bhumibol Adulyadej, who died last month.
Now taking place from Feb 16 to 19, the festival will remain at its original venue, The Fields at Siam Country Club in Pattaya.
