LUXURIOUS VALENTINE'S PACKAGE

On Valentine's Day, Gili Lankanfushi, a luxury eco-resort in the Maldives, will launch the Gili Celebrates Valentine's package, which includes taking couples on a romantic journey around the island while indulging in an aphrodisiac-infused menu with carefully paired cocktails and wines.

The trip begins by the beach at sunset, with Japanese canapes and a tasting flight of sake. Guests will then be led to the west side of the island for chilled champagne and foie gras macarons before venturing into the resort's underground wine cellar for cheeses and charcuterie paired with red, white and rose wines.

Next, they will be taken up to the treetops to enjoy vast ocean views, while tucking into canapes of fresh local fish, a selection of spirits and a fruit sorbet.

Couples can continue their romantic outing by booking a dinner on the beach where they will eat at a table dug into the sand; dine on a private sandbar decorated with candles and paper lanterns; or settle at the resort's open-air Jungle Cinema for a private film screening.

The resort also boasts an overwater chapel for a private barefoot wedding or wedding vow renewal.

The package starts at £1,427 (S$2,612) a couple a night, including daily breakfast and dinner, return speedboat transfers, a Gili Aphrodisiac Journey for two, a private film screening in the Jungle Cinema, a couple jet-lag massage and one round of beachside sunset cocktails. Couples must stay a minimum of four nights.
