Sotaa travel fair this weekend

The Singapore Outbound Travel Agents Association will hold Travel Revolution 2015 with Visa and AIG from Friday to Sunday at Marina Bay Sands B2 Expo Halls D to F.

There will be booths by tourism organisations from various destinations.

For instance, the Tourism Authority of Thailand will showcase Chiang Mai's umbrella painting, while the Taiwan Tourism Bureau will stage magic shows and hold a heart tapioca sampling by Sister Wei Taiwan Flavor, creator of the popular snack in the Yilan Luodong night market.

Travellers enjoy discounts for AIG travel insurance plans - 25 to 40 per cent off single-trip plans and 10 per cent off annual plans.

Admission to the fair, which is open from 10am to 9pm, is free.

ASA celebrates 10th anniversary with fair

ASA Holidays will celebrate its 10th anniversary with a pre-Natas Travel Fair from Friday to Sunday at Suntec Mall, West Atrium Level 1.

The home-grown travel agency is offering several artist-led tours, such as one by MediaCorp actor Zheng Geping to Bhutan.

Oberoi Udaivilas voted world's best

Travel + Leisure readers voted The Oberoi Udaivilas hotel in Udaipur, India, the World's Best Hotel in the travel magazine's World's Best Awards this year.

Special Maldives resort opening rates

The Outrigger Konotta Maldives Resort, which opens on Aug 1, is offering special opening rates that are valid till Oct 31.

Guests can book the Beach Pool Villa at US$516 (S$705), the Ocean Pool Villa at US$726 and the two-bedroom Beach Pool Villa at US$898. All the rates include a 10 per cent service charge and 12 per cent GST.

The resort is also offering complimentary services such as a bath ritual with candles and rose petals, and a bottle of sparkling wine for honeymooners.
