Pop-up theatrical dining event Stories has been cancelled, announced organiser My Private Chef.
In a press release issued on Tuesday, the culinary company's founder and director Crystal Chua said that the event will no longer take place due to lukewarm response. Members of the public will receive a full refund of their ticket price by the respective ticketing partners.
Originally slated to be held at the former Tanjong Pagar Railway Station from Thursday to Sunday, it was intended as the start of a dining series that will celebrate Singapore's history and iconic sites through food and wine. Diners were supposed to enjoy a five-course fine dining meal while being entertained by actors in scenes inspired by the station's history.
"It is with deep regret that we have to cancel the first chapter of Stories at Tanjong Pagar Railway Station. Unfortunately, sales performed below expectations and we are unable to proceed with the event as planned. We thank you for your understanding and we apologise for any inconvenience caused," said Ms Chua.
