Need inspiration on what to wear to look on trend?

For its September issue, monthly digital magazine The Life turns to the fashion runways of Paris, Milan and New York for the latest trends.

Whether you want to go goth, look cool with plaid or swing back to the 60s, fashion designers borrow colourful ideas from a melange of inspirations this Fall/Winter 2015 season.

Find out what the key looks of the season are in our interactive fashion spread in the magazine, which is available for download from The Straits Times Star E-books app for iPad and Android devices.

For families itching for a quick getaway, be sure to bookmark the Maldives travelogue that is this month's travel feature. Often known as a hotspot for honeymooners, the tropical nation in the Indian Ocean is fast becoming a choice spot for families. More resorts now have amenities and activities for children.

  • HOW TO DOWNLOAD THE LIFE E-MAGAZINE

    1. Download The Straits Times Star E-books app from App Store for your iPad or Google Play for your Android tablet.

    2. Get The Life magazine inside the app. It's free, along with previous issues of the magazine. The Life is optimised for iPads and Android tablets, and is best downloaded when there is Wi-Fi.

If art is more your thing, head to the Pursuits section to check out the collections of three art collectors. Born overseas but having moved to Singapore in their later years, they reveal how their time in Singapore has influenced the art they collect. Argentinian architect Ernesto Bedmar, for example, has a large collection of local art that he amassed after moving to Singapore in 1984.

In his regular Best New Restaurant column, The Straits Times Life food critic Wong Ah Yoke names Beni at Mandarin Gallery as his pick this month. The 15-seater modern French outfit is helmed by an all Japanese team, and serves up only omakase meals.

The Life is presented in a multimedia and interactive format.
