SINGAPORE - Chinese-American singer Van Ness Wu finally responded to rumours of his marital woes with heiress Arissa Cheo on Wednesday night, by posting a photo of a kiss on social media.

The image published on his Instagram and Weibo pages show a couple, the top halves of their faces obscured, in a clinch. They are wearing heavy necklaces similar to what Wu, 36, and Cheo, 32, have previously been photographed in.

The couple's relationship hit the headlines in the past month after they stopped following each other on Instagram one year into their marriage. But at a press conference for television show Asia's Got Talent on Tuesday, Wu said it was "not the right place" to discuss the relationship.

The photo of the kiss was posted with a caption in Chinese that read: "Is everyone done? Don't write about it anymore. Thank you."
