Stop use of Singlish among children

I refer to Singlish All Abuzz (May 22, Life). We should not encourage children to use Singlish because that will become entrenched throughout their adulthood. A child should learn to speak, read and write standard English for a better chance in life.

Teachers take pains to teach children standard speech, grammar and punctuation and it is a step backwards to see kids using Singlish after school.
