SINGAPORE - The SHINE Festival, which celebrates youth and their passions, kicks off on Orchard Road on Friday (July 1).
The three-day showcase of performances and activities for young people is in its 11th year, said organiser National Youth Council in its press release.
"Singaporean youths are using their talents as a force for good in this Youth Month of July, debunking myths that they are apathetic and lack idealism," said the Council.
Activities include volunteer work, Outward Bound Singapore courses and a filmmaking competition.
The festival will be officially launched by Minister for Culture, Community and Youth and Chairperson for National Youth Council Grace Fu on Saturday.
