Camping for children is not necessarily some major outdoor activity that would deter the less adventurous. Encourage your young ones to attend one of the many overnight and day holiday camps, which have activities ranging from pitching a tent at the zoo to practising yoga to tinkering with coding.
Lawyer Marilyn Chia, 45, has booked a tent at the Safari Snooze overnight experience at the Singapore Zoo next weekend, as a treat for her two girls, aged 13 and 16.
"This is the first time we will be camping in Singapore and we decided to try something different," she says.
The Straits Times susses out 15 holiday camps to consider.
