Andy Lin and his wife Sidney live in one room with a three- year-old daughter and a 11/2- year-old son. Another baby is due in October.

Besides his parents, his grandmother, an uncle and his wife, as well as Andy's younger brother and his wife and their newborn son, all live under the same roof. Andy's elder sister moved out when she got married three years ago.

Although so many people live in the same house - a five-bedroom semi- detached house in Lorong Ong Lye in Serangoon - Andy and Sidney, who works at a community centre, are content with the space they have.

They have no intention of moving out of his parents' house anytime soon, even though they have an HDB flat in Punggol.
